What is a Skill Tree?
Skill Trees are "upgrades" for jobs and characters that allows for new and different skills to be used to "revamp" the character/job.
Whenever your character levels up, he or she gains a skill level up as well, getting two skill points to spend on their Skill Tree.
Currently in NAGC, only Elesis (Knight), Lire (Archer), Arme (Mage), Lass (Thief), Ryan (Druid), Ronan (Spell Knight), Seighart (Gladiator) Jin (Fighter), Amy (Dancer), Dio (Stygian, Drakar), Zero (Wanderer), Ley (Summoner), and Rufus (Bounty Hunter) has a Skill Tree.
Mari is the only character in NAGC to not have a Skill Tree.
Skill Points
Skill Points are acquired by leveling up your Skill Level. You gain these "Skill Points" to put in for a function on the character.
However, please remember that you can only use up to 35 skill points for each Skill Tree, even if more are gained through leveling. This can be seen in the top right corner of the Skill Tree menu.
Unless you have a Skill SP Reset Card, you cannot undo the changes done to the character's Skill Tree. It is recommended to use Practice Mode to find your favorite skill tree aligment first. You can find this mode on the server selection page, beside "Replay" option.
WARNING!: Ap characters only have a limit of 30 Skill Points. The only exception is Rufus, who can use up to 40 skill points per job. You can gain 30 more Skill Points to use by obtaining the next job.
Skill Key
A Skill Key is a Cash-Only Item that is needed to unlock a Locked Set of Skills.
The Cash Skills unlock different possibilities for your MP bar attacks.
There are at least 3 skills per locked area, and one lock for each level and mode of abilities.
Each locked area represents a bar of MP that will be changed.
If a character has two modes of attacks, there is a separate set for each half.
A skill key can only be used to unlock one area at a time.
Only MP characters can use Skill Keys. The AP characters (Dio, Zero, Ley, and Rufus) do not need Skill Keys.
WARNING!: There is no confirmation for using the skill keys when you click on the lock, it will just unlock itself.
Used skill keys cannot be retrieved by any means.
