Card Holic is a system that utilizes cards to gain in-game benefits.

Types of cards

Cards are divided into four types:

  • Character cards help enhance a character's stats.
  • Caddie cards add bonus effects to a character during gameplay.
  • NPC cards add specialized effects to a character.
  • Special cards provide instant or temporary, time-limited boosts.

Character, Caddie, and NPC cards are equipped onto individual characters through the Character Mastery system. Special cards are used immediately and if it has a time duration, begins a timer for the duration of the effect. The remaining time for the card before it expires can be checked by clicking on the icon at the very top of the screen.

Each card also has a given rarity which affects their appearance rate relative to other cards. This is shown by the number of stars displayed at the top of the card and by their suffixes:

  • (N) = Normal
  • (R) = Rare
  • (SR) = Super Rare
  • (SC) = Secret Card

The gradient background color of cards indicates the rarity as well:

  • * = Grey
  • ** = Blue
  • *** = Green
  • **** = Red

Card packs

Cards are received from card packs.

There are currently four main card volume packs available in Pangya: Vol. 1, Vol. 2, Vol. 3 and Vol. 4. Individual card volume packs are available from the Pangya Shop for 1,800 Points; each of these volume card pack contains three cards. For each card volume pack, a 10+1 Set deal is offered also that can be bought for 18,000 Points.

Released for a limited time at the start of the Grand Prix season, the Grand Prix Card Pack contains a selected number of cards from all volumes. Like the volume packs, each one costs 1,800 Points and has a 10+1 Set that is worth 18,000 Points.

The Fresh Up Card Pack, introduced at the start of the Fresh Up season, is available for a limited time that contains all cards from all volumes that are (R), (SR), and (SC) rarity. Each of these packs cost 2,800 Points for 1.

Individual card packs that contain only one card can also be obtained in game through Treasure Points: Bronze Card Ticket, Silver Card Ticket, and Gold Card Ticket. Gold has a better chance at getting a rare card than Silver, and Silver has a better chance than Bronze. Bronze Card Tickets, Silver Card Tickets, and Gold Card Tickets will give you cards only from Vol. 1 to Vol. 3.

The exclusive Platinum Card Ticket is only available from certain events and has the highest chance at getting a rare card. Platinum Card Tickets will give you the chance to win cards from Vol. 1 to Vol. 4.

Placing cards

Character, Caddie, and NPC cards are placed on individual characters through Character Mastery. By pressing one of the blank card slots under a card type, a list will pop up showing which cards can be equipped to that slot. Select a card, confirm the placement, and the character will gain the abilities for that card.

Bonus Card Patcher

The Character, Caddie, and NPC category card slots can equip cards freely. However, the card slots in the Bonus category require Bonus Card Patchers before being able to place cards on them. The Bonus Card Patcher item can be obtained in Pangya Shop for 2,500 Points each; there is also an option to buy a 5+1 deal for 12,500 Points.

Every character has two Bonus card slots: one for a Character card and one for a Caddie card. Each time a card is placed in either one of the slots, 1 Bonus Card Patcher is used immediately and is not returnable. Note that unlike previous seasons, cards placed in the Bonus category do not carry over to other characters - each character has their own Bonus card slots.

Removing cards

Once a card is placed onto a card slot, it is not possible to remove it and regain the card back through normal means. To remove cards from the card slots, a Standard Card Remover is needed. Each card that wants to be removed requires 1 Card Remover.

Note that if the cards in the Bonus slots are removed, you will need to use another Bonus Card Patcher to add cards on those slots again.

Family of Cards

A Caddie, Special, or NPC card belongs in a "family" if a card has a similar effect as another card. This means that cards with similar effects cannot be used together.

For cards that are in the Caddie or NPC category, cards with similar effects will not stack and the card with the higher rarity will be used instead.

For cards that are in the Special category, cards with similar effects will be replaced with the most recent one used.

Below is a table that lists these families. Cards listed in the same box cannot be used together.

Lolo's Card Deck

Using Lolo's Card Deck, you can compound three cards you own to receive a random different card. The card that you receive from the compound can come from any of the four volumes of the Card Holic book. By compounding higher rarity cards, your chance of getting a higher rarity card increases. When the three cards are compounded, they will be deducted from your Card Holic book and the card received from the compound will be added. This process is not reversible.

Vol. 1

There are 41 card slots in the Vol. 1 card book. Only 40 of the cards are available to obtain from card packs. Card #34, Pang Pouch (Small), is only obtainable from Lolo's Card Deck.
