Club rank and level
Each club is associated with a rank and level. Your rank and level is determined by the sum of each stat's maximum value (the sum of the right-hand numbers on the club's stats, not including any cards placed on the club set). Ranks range from E to S and levels range from 1 to 5.
The chart below lists these ranks and levels.
- Power = 8
- Control = 8
- Accuracy = 8
- Spin = 3
- Curve = 3
Total = 30
Therefore, the rank is "E" and level is 1.
SE Afterburner Set
Each stat's maximum value is:
- Power = 12
- Control = 12
- Accuracy = 8
- Spin = 4
- Curve = 3
Total = 39
Therefore, the rank is "D" and level is 5.
Each club set is associated with a type based on the default stats of the club set. The type of club set determines the maximum value that can be modified for a given stat.
There are five different types of club sets:
|Balance||The overall maximum amount of slot is normal.|
|Power||The maximum amount of Power slot is high.|
|Control||The maximum amount of Control slot is high.|
|Spin||The maximum amount of Spin slot is high.|
|Special||The overall maximum amount of slot is unique.|
In Club Modification, you can modify your club set's stats further by adding more slots to a stat. This can be done using either the Club Modification Kit or the Abbot Elemental Shard cards. Modifying the club set will not affect the cards equipped on it.
Note that Club Modification only works for club sets that are Lv.4 and below. When a club set is Lv.5, you must rank up (see Club Rank Up for more details) the club set first before you can modify again. Note also it's not possible to "downgrade" your stats - once a stat has been modified, it is modified permanently on that club set.
When a club set reaches S-rank, the club set can no longer be modified.
Method 1: Club Modification Kit
Upgrading a club set can be done through the use of a Club Modification Kit. Each Club Modification Kit can be purchased in the Pangya Shop for 5,000 Pang. The Club Modification Kit is used if you want to upgrade a stat randomly rather than for a specific stat.
Method 2: Abbot Elemental Shard
Club Modification Kit is used to modify a stat at random. To increase the successful chances at modifying a specific desired stat, Abbot Elemental Shard cards can be used instead. Abbot Elemental Shard is a card obtained from Card Pack Vol.2.
When an Abbot Elemental Shard card is used, it will substitute the Club Modification Kit (so no Club Modification Kits will be used if an Abbot Elemental Shard is used).
The success rate increased for a specific stat is dependent on how many Abbot Elemental Shard cards are used:
|Number of Abbot Elemental Shards||Stat to increase success rate for|
Note that using Abbot Elemental Shard cards to modify a specific stat does not guarantee that stat will be modified. Also, note you cannot modify a stat that has already been fully modified.
Club Recovery Point
Club Recovery Point determines the amount of the times you can reject a modification made on a club set. Each time you click "Cancel" after an attempted modification, one Club Recovery Point is used. When all Club Recovery Points for a club set are used, you can no longer reject an modification for that club set. Each club set has 5 Club Recovery Points to begin with.
If all Club Recovery Points are used up, you can do a Club Maintenance on it to get back up to the maximum of 5 Club Recovery Points. The Club Recovery Points can also return back to maximum after a rank up.
How to upgrade
- On the menu, click on the flashing "Select Club" box.
- In the new menu that shows up, select the club set that you want to modify. Each club set is listed a rank and level (see Club rank and level for more details). Once the club set is selected, select "Confirm".
- If you have the Club Modification Kit (or Abbot Elemental Shard cards), the "Proceed" button will be yellow-colored. Click "Proceed" if you are ready to upgrade.
- Confirm the notice that shows up. One Club Modification Kit (or however many Abbot Elemental Shard cards selected) will be used when confirmed.
- The club set will be getting its modification. After it is finished modify, you have a chance to confirm the modification made.
- Select the "Confirm" button to agree to the modification. If you select this, the stat slot will be added and the level will go up by 1.
- Select the "Cancel" button to reject the modification. If you select this, one Club Recovery Point will be spent.
Club Rank Up
Once a club set has reached Lv.5 for a specific rank, the club set can no longer be modified for that rank. In order to keep modifying the club, the club must be ranked up. This can be done in Club Rank Up.
When ranking up, the club set must be Lv.5 first. Upon ranking up, a stat chosen by you will be increased. The level of the club set is also reset back to Lv.1. Note that club rank up is not possible for clubs that are S ranks already. Note also that you cannot "rank down" a stat - once a stat is ranked up, it is permanently changed on that club set.
Like Club Modification, ranking up your club set will not affect the cards equipped on it.
Mastery Points are used to rank up a club set. Each club set requires a certain amount of Mastery Points in order to rank up - higher ranks require more Mastery Points than lower ranks do. These Mastery Points can be earned by completing holes using the club set desired, each hole cleared rewards you 10 Mastery Points. Mastery Points are only earned for completed games. Mastery Points are only earned from playing in Versus mode, Tournament mode, and Special Shuffle Course.
Upon ranking up, the Mastery Points are deducted from the club set's total and the Club Recovery Point are brought back to maximum. To rank up again, the Mastery Points must be accumulated again.
In Card Holic Vol.4, the Soren card lets you decide which stat slot you can choose to put into the club set when you rank up. The amount of Soren cards you put for the rank up will determine the stat.
|Number of Soren cards||Stat to increase|
Unlike the Abbot Elemental Shard card, the Soren card is always 100% guarantee to upgrade the stat of your choosing on the rank up. Note you can not rank up a stat that has already been fully upgraded.
How to rank up
- On the menu, click on the flashing "Select Club" box.
- In the new menu that shows up (not shown in the picture above), select the club set that you want to rank up . Each club set is listed a rank and level (see Club rank and level for more details). Once the club set is selected, select "Confirm".
- The required amount of Mastery Points to rank up is listed on the right hand side of the menu. The amount of Mastery Points earned for the club set will be shown on the center of the menu.
- If it is possible to rank up (remember that the club set must be Lv.5 first), the "Proceed" button will be yellow-color. Click "Proceed" if you are ready to rank up.
- The club will be ranked up afterwards with the stat gain chosen. The Mastery Points used will be spent.
S-rank club sets
When a club set reaches S-rank, the club set can no longer be ranked up or modified. When an S-rank club set is selected in the Club Rank Up menu, a gold-colored border will surround the club set icon. In addition, Mastery Points can no longer be earned for that club set.
Upon ranking up to S-rank, one bonus stat point is added to the club set. The stat that gets increased depends on the club set itself but will be either Power, Control, or Spin. See Club Sets Comparison to see what each club set's S-rank bonus stat is.
For all S-rank club sets, a special new decoration is added to the Pangya logo. The decoration is shown below the logo.
During a rank up, there is a rare chance a club set may transform to a unique club set that can only be obtained from Club Workshop. These club sets are:
When a club set is allowed to transform, Titan Cham will react and will ask you if you could let him look at the club set. Select "Confirm" to let him look; select "Cancel" to rank up normally and return back.
When "Confirm" is selected, a new window will pop up describing the transformation. Select "Confirm" again to proceed with the transformation; select "Cancel" to prevent the club set from transforming. Note that once a club set transforms, the old club set will disappear from your room and the transformation cannot be reversed.
When the club set transforms, all cards placed on the previous club set will be moved to the new one. However, all Mastery Points will be reset and the new club set will begin with 0 Mastery Points.
Only club sets that are sold in the Pangya Shop permanently have a chance to be transformed. Note that limited time sale club sets, club sets obtained from events, club sets obtained from Gacha, Air Knight Set, and Lucky Air Knight Set can never be transformed. The following is a list of the club sets that qualify to be transformed:
- Celestial Silver Blades
- Heavenly Golden Blades
- Microphone Set
- Cursed Obsidian Blades
- Blessed Mithril Blades
- Samurai Blades
- DuoFeather Set
- SE Afterburner Set
- SY Afterburner Set
- Spike Hammer Set
- Handyman Set
- Batter Up! Set
- Air Knight 2 Set
- Papel Training Club Set
Club Maintenance lets you use special items to recover back used Club Recovery Points and move Mastery Points to other club sets you own.
It is possible to transfer the Mastery Points earned from one club set to another using a UCIM Chip. This item can be bought as a package of 4 for 2,000 Points in the Pangya Shop.
A single UCIM Chip can transfer up to 300 Mastery Points. At the menu, select the number of UCIM Chips to use and click on the yellow "Proceed" button to do the transfer. The UCIM Chip is consumed upon confirmation of usage.
Recover Club Set
It is possible to recover used Club Recovery Points for a club set by using an Abbot Coating Spray. This item can be bought as a package of 3 for 2,100 Points in the Pangya Shop.
A single Abbot Coating Spray returns the Club Recovery Points back to a maximum of 5. The Abbot Coating Spray is consumed upon confirmation of usage.
Resetting club sets
It is possible to reset a club set completely back to its original starting state, removing all modifications, rank ups, and upgrades, by using a Titan Cleansing Powder on it. Titan Cleansing Powder comes in two versions: Soft and Hard. Titan Cleansing Powder (Soft) can be bought either as a single item for 2,500 Points each or as a package of 4 for 7,500 Points. Titan Cleansing Powder (Hard) can only be bought as a single item for 5,000 Points each.
The Soft version when used will reset the club set's stats back completely to what they are originally while keeping any Mastery Points that the club set may still have at the time.
The Hard version will reset the club set's stats completely to what they are originally, keep any Mastery Points that the club set may still have at the time, add 50% of the Mastery Points used to level up that club set to the current Mastery Point total and 50% of the Pang used for upgrading stats will be returned back to you.
Both Titan Cleansing Powder versions will keep any cards the club set has equipped.
When the Titan Cleansing Powder is used, two menus will pop up. The first menu will ask you to select the club set to reset; the second menu will ask you to confirm the reset. Upon confirming both menus to allow the reset, the item will proceed to reset the club set. A confirmation box will appear after the reset has been successfully done.
Note that you cannot reset a club set that has not been modified nor ranked up. In the "Club Set" category of your room, club sets that have been modified or ranked up at least once will have a small icon on it. Titan Cleansing Powder can only choose these club sets to reset.
Air Knight Set / Lucky Air Knight Set / VIP Club Set
The Air Knight Set, Lucky Air Knight Set, and VIP Club Set can neither be modified nor ranked up. However, these club sets earn Mastery Points faster than all other club sets, receiving 15 Mastery Points for every hole cleared as opposed to the normal 10 for the other club sets.
Special Shuffle Course
While playing Special Shuffle Course, the club set will gain 1.5x more Mastery Points for every hole cleared than in normal games.
